The recipient of the medallion is carefully selected by a committee chaired by the commanding officer. The medallion is then presented at a special event. It is numbered and registered in the official register; the recipient&#8217;s name is engraved on it. As well, a golden lapel pin, more discreet, can be proudly worn on other occasions.
