Alan Canavan
During the Second World War, Alan served with the 17th Duke of York Royal Canadian Hussars, and later in life, he served for twenty-three years as the president of the Royal Canadian Hussars Association. Upon his death, at the request of his family, his letters and photos from the Second World War were converted into a book, which can be accessed through the history page in the regimental section of the website.
